NL Chooses Rookie of the Month
Monday, June 1st , 2026
Youngster Craig Higginbotham emerged as the latest National League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from San Diego deserved the honor, batting .284 with 1 home run and 7 RBI. Is the month of May a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Higginbotham enjoy the limelight.
Thus far this season, Higginbotham has hit .248 with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 13 times.

Rookie Brakebill Named Best in May
Monday, June 1st , 2026
Ron Brakebill's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Tampa Bay shortstop has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month.
In May he was voted the Rookie of the Month.
