Ports Capture Northern Division

Fans of the Stockton Ports have a lot to get excited about, as the club has captured the Northern Division crown.
It's the 1st time in franchise history that the club has finished atop the standings and they now have an opportunity to capture the franchise's 1st California League championship.
Manager Bob Hiers said there's "a lot of excitement" in Stockton over the club right now and they hope to live up to expectations.
For his part, left fielder Enrique Delgado said the division championship is "just a start" for his team.
"We want to go all the way, win the Round 1," he said. "Winning the division - we could get used to this."

No Playoff Berth Coming for Fresno

The Fresno Grizzlies have a new opponent: mathematics. The Grizzlies still have games to play in their disappointing 2025 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Grizzlies were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason.

Big Day with Bat: Alevedo 5-for-5

Thanks to Antonio Alevedo and his big bat, the Grizzlies derailed the Stockton Ports, 9-4, at Grizzlies Grove. The Fresno left fielder had a standout game with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Antonio Alevedo singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
To date this year, Alevedo is batting .276 with 4 home runs.
