3 Bombs for Pat Vann Friday, August 22nd , 2025 Pat Vann of the Rays 1 went on a hitting spree at Daikin Park and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 7-6, to the Houston (DSL) Astros. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Vann said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Tampa Bay (DSL) third baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Pat Vann struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Andy Gonzales in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Diego Collazo in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Carlos Cervantes in the 9th. This season, Vann has hit 13 home runs and posted a .310 batting average. |
