Red-Hot Ramirez Scorches Cardinals Red Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Lorenzo Ramirez of the Cincinnati (DSL) Reds had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 10-0 win over the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals Red at St. Louis (DSL) Grounds. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 19-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Lorenzo Ramirez hit a three-run home run off Nate James in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rich Touchet in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Ramirez has compiled a .343 batting average and a .384 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 14 runs. |
