Rendon Smacks 5 Hits for Phillies Red Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 Dave Rendon had an answer for everything the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals Blue threw at him at Phillies Red Park. The Philadelphia (DSL) first baseman went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Phillies Red a win, 9-0. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Rendon said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Dave Rendon hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Victor Aviles in the 7th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, Rendon has recorded a .353 batting average with 55 hits, 8 home runs, 29 RBIs, 33 runs scored and a .396 OBP. |
