Philadelphia (DSL) Loses Ayala, Out 7 Months Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Philadelphia (DSL)'s Alexis Ayala to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 08/19/2025 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Ayala said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Ayala has been out of action since he suffered bone chips in his elbow. In 13 starts this year, Ayala has posted 2 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 55.1 innings, allowed 68 hits, struck out 45 and has a 6.02 ERA. |
