Hitting Streak Still Alive for Sung Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 The number just keeps getting higher. Minnesota (DSL) catcher Shin-young Sung has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Minnesota (DSL) won the game, 7-6, over the Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 1 at Target Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Pittsburgh (DSL) manager Andy Hopper said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Shin-young Sung grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. This year, Sung has socked 42 hits in 110 at-bats for a .382 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .413 pace and his totals also include 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
