Martinez 5-for-6 Against Boston (DSL) Tuesday, August 12th , 2025 Orlando Martinez had an answer for everything the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 2 threw at him at Pirates 2 Park. The Pittsburgh (DSL) center fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Pirates 2 a win, 24-4. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Martinez said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Orlando Martinez walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off David Warnock in the 4th, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Danny Conde in the 6th and singled in the 8th. During the current season Martinez is batting at a .303 clip with 2 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 33 games and scored 12 times. |
