Huerta Socks It to Red Sox 2, Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, August 12th , 2025 Pedro Huerta was at the head of a Pittsburgh (DSL) hit parade at Pirates 2 Park. The shortstop went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Pirates 2 to a nice 24-4 victory over the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 2. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Huerta told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Red Sox 2 skipper Paul Hurt said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Pedro Huerta singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
