Hit Streak for Siguenza Reaches 30
Friday, August 8th , 2025
The Chicago N (DSL) Cubs 1 may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 6-5, to the Minnesota (DSL) Twins, but Ramon Siguenza continued to hit like a god.
The center fielder collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 30 games.
"Siguenza is playing great and is on fire right now," Cubs 1 manager Joel Abney said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Siguenza was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Ramon Siguenza flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th.
This season, Siguenza is hitting .408 with 58 hits, 12 home runs, 30 RBIs, scored 29 runs and played in 40 games.
