Hit Streak for Orozco Reaches 20 Thursday, August 7th , 2025 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Victor Orozco did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Sutter Health Park. For the last 20 games in a row, the 18-year-old first baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the DSL Athletics beat the Washington (DSL) Nationals, 5-2. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Orozco told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the DSL clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Victor Orozco flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season, Orozco has 10 home runs and a .407 batting average. |
