Leon Rips Philadelphia (DSL) for 5 Hits
Tuesday, July 29th , 2025
It was a high-five day for Luis Leon, at least for a while.
The Boston (DSL) first baseman got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies White, but they were in short supply at the end, as Philadelphia (DSL) won the game, 19-7. Leon finished with an impressive 5-for-5 line, but the Red Sox 2 couldn't hold off the Phillies White.
"Luis was hitting everything," said Red Sox 2 manager Paul Hurt. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion."
Luis Leon singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
For the year, Leon is batting .512 with 22 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 12 times and driven in 11.
