DSL Player of the Week Chosen Monday, July 28th , 2025 Brian King must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .640 pace, then the Cleveland (DSL) second baseman finds out he has been selected the top performer and gets the Dominican Rookie League Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, King quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for King. He hit .640 average (16-for-25) with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs. In his season totals, King has 9 home runs, .437 BA, .542 OBP, 26 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played in 24 games. |
