Valle Slaps 6 Hits Tuesday, July 22nd , 2025 Even as a kid, Alex Valle said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Rate Field, Valle showed how well he learned that lesson. The 20-year-old third baseman had 6 hits in 6 at-bats for the Chicago A (DSL) White Sox, helping his team knock off the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 2 by a score of 25-8. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Alex Valle hit a two-run home run off Miguel Escobar in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Nick Javier in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Nick Javier in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This season, Valle has hit at a .490 clip with 16 RBIs, 9 home runs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 15 games. |
