Braves-Astros Fight Nets 4-Game Suspensions Saturday, July 12th , 2025 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Braves-Astros game at Truist Park yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Atlanta (DSL)'s Majid Chanishvili and Houston (DSL)'s Julio Diaz. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 4 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. For the year, Chanishvili has hit .340 with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 19 runs. Diaz has taken the mound for 8 relief appearances this season, nailing down 2 saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 2.70 ERA. The Houston (DSL) reliever has limited opposing batters to a .176 batting average. |
