St. Louis (DSL)-New York N (DSL) Brawl, Reyes and Garcia Suspended Wednesday, July 9th , 2025 After an intense confrontation, both the Cardinals Red Marco Reyes and the Mets 1 Julio Garcia were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent St. Louis (DSL)-New York N (DSL) game. Marco Reyes will miss 5 games, while Julio Garcia was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Marco Reyes commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year, Reyes is hitting .352 with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs in 23 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .483 with 12 walks and 13 runs scored. This year, Garcia has compiled a 2-2 record with a 6.14 ERA. |
