5-Hit Barrage by Flack Wednesday, July 2nd , 2025 A jubilant Chris Flack joined the postgame press conference at Orioles 2 Park to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 2 pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the DSL Athletics shortstop, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 17-12 Athletics win. "He made it look easy," said Andrew Bicker, manager of the Orioles 2. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Chris Flack singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Alberto Ocampo in the 9th. This year, Flack has socked 20 hits in 54 at-bats for a .370 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .452 pace and his totals also include 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
