Super Swinger -- Delgado Slams 5 Hits Tuesday, July 1st , 2025 It was high-fives all around for Ricky Delgado at Kansas City (DSL) Grounds. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies Red. Delgado smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-5 win. "Ricky was hitting everything," said Royals 2 manager John Sayre. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Phillies Red manager Chris Hanson told BNN beat writers that Delgado "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Delgado oversleeps next time." Ricky Delgado struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. Posting a .353 batting average to date, Delgado has 4 home runs and 7 RBIs. |
