Ryu Goes 5-for-5 Against Detroit (DSL) Sunday, June 22nd , 2025 At Texas (DSL) Grounds, Keiya Ryu of the Texas (DSL) Rangers 1 put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled the Detroit (DSL) Tigers 1 pitching staff, but Texas (DSL) still came up short on the scoreboard. The Rangers 1 went home with the 18-9 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their third baseman. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Ryu said in the postgame interview. Keiya Ryu doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Matt Downes in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Ryu is currently hitting at a .333 pace with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs. |
