Red-Hot Young Scorches Tortugas

Bobby Young was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Tortugas Grounds, the Clearwater left fielder blistered the Daytona Tortugas for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 10-6 victory.
"Young was too tough to get out," Tortugas skipper Ryan Lynch said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Bobby Young hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
This year, Young has hit at a .352 pace and produced 32 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 38 runs.

Tampa-Jupiter Fight Results in Suspensions

Zach Guidry of the Tampa Tarpons and Luis Aguilar of the Jupiter Hammerheads received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Tarpons Grounds.
So far this season, Guidry is batting .315 with 7 home runs.
Aguilar has made 5 starts, tossed 23.2 innings, struck out 15 batters and walked 4. His record is 1-1 with a 5.32 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .327 batting average.

The Math Says - Jupiter Out of Playoffs

It certainly could have been worse this year for the Jupiter Hammerheads, but that does not mean it was a season to remember. The team was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today.
