Rays Win Nail-Biter
The River Hills Rockets got a superb performance from pitcher Saul Jaso, but the Tampa Bay Rays still won the game, 4-3. Jaso threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Eugênio Risso in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Jonathan Farley took the loss. The Tampa Bay win streak is now 3 games.

Tampa Bay used the timely hitting of Mike McNaughton to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rays on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Wade Pettijohn, the Tampa Bay skipper. "This one tested us."
