Bibriesca Cracks 5 Hits
Saturday, June 21st , 2025
Boston (FCL) center fielder Francisco Bibriesca had a fantastic day at the plate at Fenway Park, knocking out 5 hits and pacing his club to a win, 18-3.
"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Bibriesca said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Orioles Orange. "No offense meant to Baltimore (FCL), but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid park, it was Fenway Park."
After the game, his manager elaborated on the center fielder's improvements, saying Bibriesca spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.
"That's what I'm trying to do," Bibriesca said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."
Francisco Bibriesca hit a solo-shot off Jesus Alaniz in the 1st, tripled in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Brian Robinson in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.
This season, Bibriesca has delivered 10 hits in 18 at-bats for a .556 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .550 clip and his totals also include 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This year Bibriesca has played in 8 games.
