Hit Parade: Howell Pops 5 Hits Monday, August 4th , 2025 It was a high-five day for Mitch Howell, at least for a while. The Milwaukee(ACL) second baseman got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Cincinnati(ACL) Reds, but they were in short supply at the end, as Cincinnati(ACL) won the game, 9-8. Howell finished with an impressive 5-for-6 line, but the Brewers Blue couldn't hold off the Reds. "Mitch was hitting everything," said Brewers Blue manager David Rios. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Mitch Howell singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date, Howell has collected 26 hits for a .406 average. He has posted 2 home runs, scored 14 runs and driven in 9 runs. |
