Setback for Royals and Greg Williams Tuesday, May 26th , 2026 "It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Royals clubhouse today as it was learned that left fielder Greg Williams will be out for an added one week as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for an elbow contusion will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Kansas City left fielder told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Greg gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer. This year, Williams has hit at a .280 clip with 22 RBIs, 10 home runs and 31 runs scored. |
