Cincinnati 3B Land Will Miss 4 Weeks Wednesday, May 13th , 2026 Cincinnati fans will be disappointed to learn that Sam Land suffered a torn ligament in his thumb while colliding with a player at a base in today's game. After the doctor informed the Cincinnati Reds manager that Land was expected to miss 4 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the third baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper. Looking at his stats this year, Land has compiled a .222 batting average, while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 33 runs. He has played in 35 games and scored 19 runs. |
