Monday, May 11th , 2026
Cody Griffore went yard three times in a Colorado Rockies victory over the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the Colorado left fielder went 3-for-4 against Atlanta with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Rockies to the 13-2 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Cody Griffore hit a two-run home run off Danny Arellano in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tony Padilla in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Brian Tinker in the 8th.
This year, Griffore is hitting .188, produced 27 RBIs and 15 home runs, scored 21 times and gotten on base at a .258 rate.
