AL Announces Outstanding Batter Award Friday, May 1st , 2026 Matt Ferris, the Detroit first baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .427 batting average with 35 hits, 14 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 24 times. That kind of hitting earned him the American League Batter of the Month honors for April. |
