Lindley Stretches Hit String to 20 Wednesday, April 29th , 2026 Nick Lindley of the Pittsburgh Pirates extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 7-6 triumph over the New York Mets at Citi Field. "Nick has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Pirates manager Steve Cowin joked after the game. Nick Lindley walked in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ruben Sanchez in the 9th. This year, Lindley has hit at a .374 pace and produced 12 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 18 runs. |
