Dusty Slaughter Bashes Three over the Wall Sunday, April 5th , 2026 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Milwaukee Brewers. Los Angeles catcher Dusty Slaughter tripled up on the home runs to propel the Dodgers to a win, 6-4, at Dodger Stadium. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Milwaukee manager Nick Fichthorn said. "Slaughter hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Slaughter collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Dusty Slaughter hit a solo-shot off Vinny Acosta in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Vinny Acosta in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Alberto Olmedo in the 8th. |
