Kelly and Boone Traded Friday, February 27th , 2026 The Houston Astros and New York Yankees have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Houston will part with 37-year old 1B Dave Kelly and 23-year old minor league C Matt Klemann, while the Yankees have dealt 19-year old minor league LF Peter Boone. "This one took a while to figure out," said Houston general manager Andrew Sellars. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." In his all-time stats Kelly is hitting .271 with 154 hits, 29 home runs, 71 runs scored and 66 RBIs. |
