San Francisco, Colorado Agree to Deal Thursday, February 26th , 2026 The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Giants and Rockies have consummated a trade. Colorado will receive 22-year old 2B Luis Rentas in a swap for 37-year old LF Jay Brown and $30,000 in cash. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction." Colorado will retain a portion of Brown's remaining contract. For his career, Brown has hit at a .305 clip. Among his lifetime numbers are 141 hits, 25 doubles, 2 triples, 7 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
