Athletics Swap Hernandez to Braves for Garcia Tuesday, February 24th , 2026 Athletics and Atlanta have agreed in principle to a trade. The Athletics will send 19-year old 3B Ben Schulte, 19-year old RHP Ted Hernandez, and 20-year old RHP Justin Griffin to the Braves for 38-year old RHP Danny Garcia and $2,740,000 in cash. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. Since coming into the league, Garcia has chalked up 37 saves. In 64 games, he has registered a 6-10 won-lost record with 57 strikeouts in 68.1 innings and compiled a 3.16 ERA. |
