Padres Swap Guzman to Giants for Fiesco Friday, February 20th , 2026 The San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. San Diego will part with 24-year old minor league RHP Arturo Guzman, while the Giants have dealt 31-year old LHP Maurice Fiesco and $3,360,000 in cash. "This one took a while to figure out," said San Diego general manager Rob Lamb. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." San Francisco will retain a portion of Fiesco's remaining contract. Since coming into the league, Fiesco has registered 16 career saves. |
