Injury Brings Season to End for Mays Friday, September 26th , 2025 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Chicago's Zion Mays to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 09/24/2025 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Mays said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Mays has been out of action since he suffered a bone spur in his elbow. This season, Mays has logged 12 saves. He has thrown 75 innings, dished out 89 strikeouts and walked 22 while putting up a 5-11 mark and a 4.08 ERA. |
