AL Star of the Week Picked Monday, September 22nd , 2025 It was an extraordinary week for David Benavides of the Toronto Blue Jays. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .556, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the American League. Last week Benavides went 15-for-27, racked up 2 home runs and 7 RBIs and scored 8 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Toronto right fielder. Benavides is batting at a .296 pace this season, picking up 163 hits in 551 at-bats with 18 home runs, 70 RBIs and 85 runs scored. |
