Minnesota-Tampa Bay Brawl, Drane and Mejia Suspended Friday, August 29th , 2025 Chris Drane of the Minnesota Twins and Angel Mejia of the Tampa Bay Rays will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 2 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Twins-Rays game at Target Field. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Drane and Mejia will begin serving them soon. This year, Drane has hit at a .327 pace and produced 65 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 66 runs. This year in 26 starts, Mejia has recorded 7 wins and absorbed 8 losses. He has pitched 140.1 innings, allowed 155 hits, struck out 144 and has a 4.68 ERA. |
