Baltimore Snaps Luttrell Streak at 21 Thursday, August 28th , 2025 The hitting streak that Toronto left fielder Jon Luttrell had kept going for 21 games was ended by the Baltimore Orioles. Luttrell was stymied over 5 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 4-2 victory at Rogers Centre. "Hitting streaks come and go," Luttrell said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." At present, Luttrell is batting .295 with 161 hits and 14 home runs. He has knocked in 55 runs and scored 81 times. |
