Toronto Downs Baltimore as Sousa Tosses 4-0 Shutout Wednesday, August 27th , 2025 The Baltimore Orioles were almost helpless in their 4-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays and hurler Dave Sousa. Sousa kept the Orioles confused all game, spinning a 1-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Sousa," Baltimore manager John Serocki said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 31-year-old left-hander had no walks and 9 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Sousa said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." This season, Sousa has compiled a 10-6 mark, 5.79 ERA and made 27 starts. View Boxscore |
