Danford 5-for-6 for Los Angeles
Monday, August 25th , 2025
It was a good day at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The Los Angeles Angels whipped the Colorado Rockies, 24-7, and left fielder Joe Danford showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-6 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Danford told BNN reporters after the game.
Angels manager Adam Sweeney told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 28-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Joe hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Joe Danford doubled in the 1st, walked in a run in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Justin Stewart in the 8th.
In his season totals Danford has 7 home runs and a .338 batting average.
