Cleveland left fielder Nazir Roundtree thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Cleveland to a win, 7-3, over New York. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Roundtree said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Roundtree was 4-for-4 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Nazir Roundtree hit a three-run home run off Kevin Bergeron in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Bergeron in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Oscar Contreras in the 8th. This year, Roundtree is hitting .282, produced 64 RBIs and 19 home runs, scored 68 times and gotten on base at a .366 rate. |
