Sunday, August 10th , 2025
Alex Diaz of the Cleveland Guardians and Juan Murillo of the Detroit Tigers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 9 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Guardians-Tigers game at Comerica Park.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Diaz and Murillo will begin serving them soon.
A look at his current stats shows Diaz with a .254 average, 15 home runs, 51 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has played in 108 games.
This season to date, Murillo has a record of 8 wins and 7 losses with a 3.11 ERA, has appeared in 25 games and struck out 239 in 159 innings.
