At Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Cardinals third baseman burned Chicago pitching, going 5-for-5 in the 6-2 St. Louis triumph. "When he's on his game," St. Louis skipper Brock Naff told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
