Washington-Detroit Trade Confirmed Thursday, July 31st , 2025 The Nationals and Tigers announced a deal that was completed today. Washington sent 23-year old minor league LHP Scott Cox and 21-year old minor league RHP Gianfrancesco Chechi to Detroit for 28-year old minor league 3B Mike Williams. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. So far this year, Williams is batting .214 with 1 home run. |
