Deal: Willis for Fernandez Thursday, July 31st , 2025 New York and Atlanta have swapped players. The Yankees announced today that they have sent 32-year old LF Jim Willis and $1,890,000 in cash to the Braves in exchange for 24-year old minor league 3B Manny Ortiz and 23-year old minor league SS Daniel Fernandez. New York will retain a portion of Willis's remaining contract. Willis has collected 125 hits for the Braves this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 46 RBIs and scored 56 runs while batting .310. |
