Cleveland, Washington Deal Made Thursday, July 31st , 2025 Cleveland and Washington announced some roster changes today as the Guardians acquired 28-year old CF Matt Taylor and $250,000 in cash from the Nationals in exchange for 17-year old minor league LF Alex Aponte and 22-year old minor league LHP Jim Fletcher. Representatives from both teams say they are pleased with the deal. Taylor is batting at a .312 pace this season, picking up 124 hits in 398 at-bats with 18 home runs, 48 RBIs and 63 runs scored. |
