Texas, Tampa Bay Confirm Deal Thursday, July 31st , 2025 The Rangers and the Rays finalized a deal this afternoon. Texas has traded for 36-year old RHP John Liff and in return Tampa Bay will receive 24-year old minor league 3B Raul Ortiz and 22-year old minor league LHP Daniel Zambrano. In 16 games Ortiz is hitting .283 this season with 13 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, 4 walks, .353 OBP and has scored 7 runs. To this point in the season Liff has no saves in 27 relief appearances with a 2-1 record and 2.17 ERA. |
