Colorado, Arizona Confirm Swap Thursday, July 31st , 2025 The Baseball News Network is reporting that Colorado and Arizona have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 26-year old LHP Jeff Rooney to the Diamondbacks with 22-year old minor league RHP Eduardo Cano joining the Rockies. Colorado general manager Jeff Kreher would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league. To date this year, Rooney has fashioned a 5.73 ERA over 22 innings with a 4-4 record. He has made 37 relief appearances with 18 strikeouts and no saves. |
