Cleveland, San Francisco Confirm Deal Wednesday, July 30th , 2025 It's all done except the paperwork. The Cleveland Guardians and the San Francisco Giants have agreed to a trade that will send 20-year old minor league LHP Tony Newton and 18-year old minor league 2B Jorge Solis to San Francisco, while 28-year old RHP Danny Tindale and $250,000 in cash will be shipped to Cleveland. A top front office executive with the Guardians described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. This year, Tindale has pitched 79.2 innings over 21 relief appearances, picking up 8 saves and held opponents to a .266 average. Tindale has a 3-9 record with a 3.95 ERA and 91 strikeouts. |
