Red Sox Send Weiland to Chicago Wednesday, July 30th , 2025 Boston and Chicago have agreed in principle to a trade. The Red Sox will send 33-year old 2B Bob Weiland to the White Sox for 18-year old minor league 1B Guillermo Carrillo. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. Boston will retain a portion of Weiland's remaining contract. This season, Weiland is batting .192 with 11 RBIs, 12 runs scored and 2 home runs. |
