Wellman Misses Time with Day-to-Day Injury Saturday, June 21st , 2025 Texas's star first baseman Paul Wellman injured himself in a game against the Houston Astros, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as knee inflammation and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Wellman with a smile as he talked to reporters. This year, Wellman has 15 home runs and a .288 batting average. |
